This Landing Gimbal Guard was designed to protect the gimbal & camera from damage in the event of a hard landing or if you land on debris between the skids. Easy to install & remove, but stays in place. No tools or ties required, but there are holes in it for people that like to tie up. Your gimbal has full range of movement and sight without seeing any of the guard in your pictures or video even when looking directly down (keep in mind that during heavy winds or evasive maneuvers while facing the camera all the way down, the edges of your guard may come into view, but at that point so is your skid). . Also it is not in the line of sight obstructing the sonar for Indoor flight. There are 2 main openings in this design to allow for gimbal calibration when you turn it on. Other guards without this clearance require you to install it every time you fly and after you turn your Phantom on and wait for the gimbal calibration to get done.
